On September 30, MCPS student-athletes gathered at Laytonsville Golf Course for the Girls Golf District Tournament. It was exciting to see more than 75 student-athletes hit the links as they competed for the opportunity to qualify for the State Championship.

A special thank-you goes to Ms. Michelle Hunsicker-Blair, Golf Coach at Poolesville High School, for administering the tournament and helping make the event a success.

Congratulations to the 16 girls who qualified for States! We are proud of all of the student-athletes who competed and represented their schools with skill, determination, and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to the winners:

• Miss Stilp — Winston Churchill (74)

• Miss Shefie — Damascus (76)

• Miss Musser  — Damascus (77)

Best of luck to all 16 State qualifiers as they continue their journey!
