The following NFHS Coaches’ Education Courses are required for all stipend coaches.

Complete the NFHS Coaches’ Education Courses: Bullying, Hazing, and Inappropriate Behaviors; Protecting Students from Abuse; and Coaching Mental  Wellness prior to the start of their first season.

Complete the NFHS Coaches’ Education course, Fundamentals of Coaching, within one year of the start of the season for which they were first hired.

Complete the NFHS Level 1 Certification standards within one year of the start of the season for which they were first hired.

Complete the following NFHS Coaches’ Education courses, every two years:

• Concussion in Sports,
• Heat Illness Prevention, and
• Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Football coaches must complete the NFHS/USA Football course, Football Tackling, prior to the start of their first practice .
