MCPS Student-Athletes Represent at MSDE Panel

Montgomery County Public Schools was proudly represented at the MPSSAA Student Leadership Panel during the Maryland State Department of Education’s Divisions on Display event on July 30, where student-athletes from across the state showcased the power of educationally based athletics.

In front of Maryland State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Carey M. Wright, these outstanding student leaders shared their experiences balancing academics, athletics, and leadership while highlighting the life lessons and opportunities gained through interscholastic sports.

Congratulations to the five MCPS student-athletes selected for this prestigious statewide honor:

  • Addison Finlay – Northwood High School
  • Angel Fletcher – Northwood High School
  • Abigail Kurpradit – Walt Whitman High School
  • Chace Tucker – Albert Einstein High School
  • Angelie Melara – Watkins Mill High School
